VBAC (vaginal birth after a ceasarean)

I received a comment if it's possible to have a VBAC. Yes it is. Best for you to talk with your OB to find out what kind of CS cut she did on you. If the cut was done horizontally inside the uterus, and depending on how soon you will get pregnant and on other circumstances, yes you may have a vaginal birth. You may ask her if you could go on trial labor rather than have a scheduled CS on your next pregnancy.

hi mama chiqui!

just want to keep you posted...
hope you remember us. we are here in HK and getting ready to give birth earlier than expected. doctor found out that my placenta is calcifying quicker than expected so we will be going through a c section within the week while baby is very health and heavy already (7.2 lbs with technically 2 weeks to go). doctor is concern of that and a possible pre-eclampsia that appeared this week.

i'm about 38 weeks by wednesday. doctor checked and my cervix is still close and baby's not engaged yet. head's still floating. he predicts that a natural birth by next week is less likely. he's also concern that baby will be 8/9 lbs upon due date, which might also mean a possible c section.

fyi: baby's position is what they call "old man's position". i tried to make him move but since he's not engaged yet, he goes back to his fav position...spin on my right side. hay...he's so naughty and already has a mind of his own!!!

Thanks Chiqui, I just came from my doctor today and she said that yes it was possible to have a VBAC. I had a horizontal cut from my previous one which was more than seven years ago. She said that we'll know around my ninth month and that I can go on trial labor. I'm only on my fourth but just the same would like to be prepared with childbirth as my last experience didn't go so well.
